Flu & COVID-19 Jabsin Cramlington
Protect yourself and your family this winter. Free NHS flu and COVID-19 vaccinations are available at Northumbria Way Pharmacy & Clinic — with both jabs in a single visit where you're eligible.
Flu vaccinations begin from 1 September for pregnant women and eligible children, and from 1 October for most adults. The autumn COVID-19 programme runs from October until 31 January 2027. We're open 7 days a week, with free parking right outside.
Who Can Have a Free NHS Flu Vaccination This Season?
Eligibility for the 2026/27 NHS flu programme is set nationally. If any of the following apply to you, your flu jab is free — and you can have it right here at the pharmacy.
From 1 September 2026
- Pregnant women (from 1 September — don't wait)
- Children in clinical risk groups aged 6 months to under 18 years
- Young people aged 17+ attending a special educational needs school who are in a clinical risk group
From 1 October 2026
- Everyone aged 65 and over
- Adults aged 18 to 64 in a clinical risk group (including heart, lung, kidney or liver disease, diabetes, weakened immunity, and more)
- Residents of care homes for older adults
- Carers in receipt of Carer's Allowance, or the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
- Close contacts of people with weakened immune systems
- Frontline health and social care workers
- People aged 16 and over experiencing homelessness or sleeping rough (new for this season)
Not sure whether you qualify? Call in or phone us — our team will check your eligibility in seconds. And if you're not eligible on the NHS, ask about our private flu vaccination service.
Autumn COVID-19 Vaccinations
The NHS autumn COVID-19 programme runs from October 2026 until 31 January 2027, offering a free booster to those at greatest risk of serious illness:
- Everyone aged 75 and over (including anyone turning 75 before the campaign ends)
- Residents of care homes for older adults
- People aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed (a significantly weakened immune system)
Eligible for both? We can usually give your flu and COVID-19 jabs in the same appointment — one in each arm — so you're fully protected in a single visit. Protection from earlier vaccinations fades over time and the viruses change each year, which is why an annual top-up matters even if you've been vaccinated before.
